STYL Residential was founded in 2019: inspired by the notion that an improved living experience can profoundly impact the lives of residents. Since our inception, we have worked tirelessly to select the best apartment buildings in ideal locations where we are able to add value. STYL Residential has successfully enhanced the resident experience in a number of locations by developing thoughtfully curated amenity packages, building proprietary resident service technology, and optimizing operations for speed and service.

STYL Residential offers an elevated work and living experience through a unique blend of data and technology. Unlike relying on existing management software, we have developed our own proprietary technology. This integrated platform, created by our team of experienced real estate managers and technology experts, simplifies processes such as rent payments, neighbor interactions, and neighborhood exploration. Our community amenity packages include sought-after technology conveniences like EV car chargers, Vivint Smart Home Security Systems, and digital package delivery systems with notifications.

Managing Director of Asset Management & Operations
Mr. Friedeck is the Managing Director of Asset Management & Operations at Magnolia Capital and STYL Residential, a nationally focused multifamily investor based in Chicago. Mr. Friedeck oversees asset management, revenue, marketing and capital for Magnolia Capital.
Prior to joining Magnolia Capital, Mr. Friedeck worked for LivCor, a Blackstone Portfolio Company focused on multifamily. Mr. Friedeck was one of the first employees hired at LivCor and was responsible for the creation and implementation of several processes involving cross-department collaboration to benchmark LivCor’s operating partners on their performance as well as the onboarding, budgeting and forecasting of several portfolio acquisitions.

Zach Brooks
Senior Director of Operations
Zach Brooks is the Senior Director of Operations, responsible for leading the execution of capital improvement projects and maintenance operations for the company. Zach joined Magnolia Capital in November 2017.
Prior to joining Magnolia, Zach worked at The University of Chicago, Laramar Group, and SMS Assist, where he executed renovation work at scale across various asset types and classes. Zach’s real estate experience has focused on leading large-scale maintenance operations, multifamily high-volume renovation, adaptive re-use construction, and tenant improvement build-out. Throughout his career, Zach has accumulated expertise in implementing technology solutions to improve operational performance.
Zach received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois and earned an MBA from the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University with a concentration in Real Estate Investment and Finance. He also holds a Managing Broker license in the State of Illinois and is an active member of the Kellstadt Real Estate Alumni.

Nick has over 10 years of sales experience, which includes experience in call center metrics, inside sales, and management. Nick spent 9 years of his career with the Chicago White Sox where he started as a Sales Associate, transitioned to Group Sales Account Executive, and worked his way up to Manager of Inside Sales. As a manager, he oversaw a team of 10 associates and was responsible for training, developing, and maximizing revenue for the organization. Nick is currently the Sales Director for STYL Residential where he oversees the Call Center team and drives the sales strategy across the properties. He graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. Nick resides in Chicago and enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife, Rachel, his daughter, Harper, and his son, Hudson.

Gaby Tabatt is the Marketing Manager and oversees marketing for our multifamily and single-family portfolios with various centralized tasks including, but not limited to custom website creation and management, brand planning, and development and implementation of strategic marketing plans.
Prior to joining STYL Residential, Gaby excelled at MullenLowe, a renowned global advertising agency. There, she led the digital marketing strategy for numerous hospitality industry brands. With over seven years of marketing experience in the US and Latin American markets, Gaby brings a wealth of knowledge and a track record of achievement to our team.

Senior Design Manager
Mrs. Ziegel is a Senior Design Manager for Magnolia Capital, a nationally focused multifamily investor based in Chicago.
Prior to joining Magnolia Capital, Mrs. Ziegel was a designer at Simeone Deary Design Group where she focused on adaptive reuse and new construction hospitality interior projects. At Simeone Deary, she contributed to the design development and documentation of multiple hotels and resorts around the country. Mrs. Ziegel also worked for Partners by Design where she was a project architect for corporate interior projects, which included offices for medical, law, and technology companies. Prior to Partners by Design, she was a designer at exp Federal, where she worked on government design projects in the US and overseas.
Mrs. Ziegel received her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Maryland, and her Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois.
